Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request an appointment, register as a new patient, or contact us through this site, we collect the details you enter — typically your name, mobile number, email address, and anything you choose to tell us about why you are getting in touch.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the site working and secure.

Text messaging (SMS) and your mobile information

If you provide your mobile number and opt in to text messages, we use it to send appointment reminders, confirmations, recare notices, registration links and practice updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.

We do not sell or share your mobile information, or your text-message opt-in and consent, with any third party for promotional or marketing purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of information sharing described elsewhere in this policy.

We share this information only with the vendors who deliver the messages themselves — our messaging platform and the telephone carriers — and only for the purpose of delivering them.

Opting in to text messages is never a condition of receiving dental care, and opting out will not affect your treatment.

How we use your information

We use what you provide to respond to your enquiry, schedule and confirm appointments, send the forms you need before your visit, and maintain your patient record. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us operate — our practice management system, our messaging and email providers, and our website host — and only to the extent they need it to do that work. Where those providers handle protected health information, they do so under a written business associate agreement as HIPAA requires.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Your choices

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link in any message. You may ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by contacting the practice using the details below.

Protected health information

Information that identifies you and relates to your dental care is protected health information, and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices rather than by this policy. Where the two differ, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls for that information.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them through it. Registration for a child patient is completed by a parent or legal guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the bottom of this page shows when it was last revised.
