Snap-on (removable) dentures click onto 2–4 implants using ball or locator attachments. You remove them nightly for cleaning. They cost less but require more maintenance. Fixed implant dentures are screwed permanently onto 4–6 implants and only removed by your dentist for periodic cleaning. They feel most like natural teeth, never move, and require no daily removal. Most patients prefer fixed for the superior experience, though snap-on is an excellent affordable option.

The complete process typically takes 4–8 months. After your consultation and planning (1–2 weeks), implants are placed in a single appointment. Healing takes 3–6 months while you wear a temporary denture. Finally, your custom permanent denture is fabricated and fitted (2–3 appointments). Some patients qualify for same-day teeth with immediate-load All-on-4 protocols, where you leave with fixed temporary teeth the same day as surgery.

The titanium implants themselves can last a lifetime with proper care, they are designed to be permanent.
