Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): - Inhaled through nose mask - Mild relaxation and euphoria - Wears off in minutes - Drive yourself home - Good for mild anxiety

Oral Sedation: - Pill taken before appointment - Moderate relaxation - May not remember much - Need ride home - Good for moderate anxiety

IV Sedation: - Administered through IV - Deep relaxation/twilight state - Little to no memory - Need ride home - Good for severe anxiety or long procedures

General Anesthesia: - Completely unconscious - Used for complex cases - Requires anesthesiologist - Longer recovery
