Is dental sedation safe?
Dental sedation has an excellent safety record when administered properly:
Safety measures we take: - Thorough medical history review - Vitals monitored throughout (oxygen, heart rate, blood pressure) - Emergency equipment on site - Trained team members - Proper patient selection - Follow-up care instructions
Who administers sedation: - Dr. Talwar is certified in sedation - Team trained in monitoring - Continuous observation - Written protocols followed
Who may not be candidates: - Certain medical conditions - Some medications - Severe obesity - Sleep apnea (may require modifications) - Pregnancy
We'll discuss your health history in detail before recommending sedation. Most healthy adults are excellent candidates.
Pre-sedation instructions: - No eating/drinking after midnight - Arrange responsible adult driver - Wear comfortable clothing - Take approved medications only
Your safety is our top priority. We'll only proceed if sedation is appropriate for you.
